In Times Like These is a thirty minute television broadcast sponsored by Central Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. It features the preaching of Dr. Bobby Mullins, senior pastor of Central Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, and other men who have preached at the Oak Ridge church. The sermons are edited to about twenty minutes in length. Each broadcast also contains introductory and closing remarks from Pastor Mullins and special music from a recent worship service at Central, but occasionally a video of a Gospel music group or artist who is going to be in concert at the church will be used for special music.
The program currently airs at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and a re-airing of the same program is at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday on WVLR, an affiliate of the Christian Television Network, which has a potential viewing audience of three million, covering the Greater Knoxville area, as well as Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and several other neighboring cities. In Times Like These also is broadcast on Knoxville Community Television, with air times changing every six months. The present airing of In Times Like These is at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
